We love going to mid-​cities. Have been going there for almost 10 years. We’ve seen them for all sorts of issues and illnesses. We see Dr. Jutras but would recommend anybody. They also have after-​hour care.

I’ve been here a few times and really never had any problems until last time. went in for a physical and the doctor did a good job but just didn’t like his demeanor. he just wasn’t too friendly and it was just a little uncomfortable. i think the doctors are good here but need to work on their bed side manner. or at lest this one.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. My wife has been going to this place for years and explained to me that as a child she loved going here. The staff was friendly and the doctors take the time to listen to you and really show an interest in your well-​being. She did voice concerns that the last few times it seems the place is going down hill. I decided to give it a shot anyway…
I visited for the first time last week. The office is very well laid out with some doctors waiting area on the left side and others on the right side of the office. I was told to get there about 10 minutes early since I was a new patient. I filled out my forms and was called back about 30 minutes after my actual appointment was scheduled. The lady that called me back seemed very sweet and listened to my issue and seemed very interested in what I had to say.
After she left I was alone in the room for another 30 minutes before the doctor finally came in. I explained my issues and it really just seemed like we were not on the same page the entire visit. I was worried I had a gluten intolerance/​allergy and I strongly believe he thought I was in there to lose weight and the gluten popularity was in his words just a «fad diet». I kept re-​enforcing my concerns and by the end of the visit I was so exhausted trying to get on the same page with him I just listened to him talk and waited for him to leave. He told me basically to just watch my diet and hope it gets better.
He ordered a blood/​urine test which I still have not heard the results from. I have talked to other people in the field and they believe I do have a gluten intolerance and I am now on a diet/​vitamin/​cleansing plan and feel a lot better. I could have not gone into the office at all and probably been just as well off. I was there for over 2 hours, took a blood test and still have not gotten the results, and am strongly questioning if I will be back.

I wouldn’t take my dog here. When we got a second opinion, we found a serious issue that Manson… After a year of listening to him say all was good… overlooked. Thank goodness we went somewhere else.

I am not impressed what so ever. I have been trying to talk to a nurse that works with Dr. Terry for a week since yesterday. I had called last Thursday to find out some information about new patients and if he would accept patients on anti-​depressants (I have already been told by one doctor that I can’t be seen because of it). I left a message and heard nothing. I called Tuesday and had to call twice because it kept ringing and not even the answering machine picked up the first call. The second time I left a message in between classes and told them I get out of class at 11. I was called during class. I called back and had to leave another message and reminding them I had told them I would be in class until 11 and had been called during class. It’s now Friday and have heard nothing back.
They have lost a new client and I will definitely not tell my husband to go either.
Very disappointed with such good reviews on this place.

It will be two weeks tomorrow, Thursday and still no response.
Already found a new doctor and have an appointment Friday.

I schedule appointments with Dr Jutras, exclusively now. I highly recommend him. He actually listens to me without presumption! Sometimes you may have to wait, but it’s worth it. You have his complete attention while he is in with you. The billing issues still need some work but it’s worth the trouble.

OK I’m done. I’ve had so many billing problems now that they are with Texas Health Resources this last one has made me throw my hands up of this place.
I LOVE our doctor here, this is a wonderful group of doctors and the staff is usually wonderful.
I’m so frustrated with their billing department that I never want to come here because I will have to fight with their billing department to you know … charge my correct insurance. Seriously, I’m STILL fighting them to bill my correct insurance from an appointment in SEPTEMBER! They have billed my old insurance 3 times, and once didn’t even send it out after I called to make sure it had been dealt with! Ugg!

The short version: Hope you don’t have high expectations. Over the years this place has become run down. To get monthly prescriptions was a job in itself. Unprofessional and too many mistakes made in the last 5 years.
Long version: I came to this office for 20 years. Was diagnosed with ADD and finally I realized doctors offices can be so much better than this-​after i left!
Once I was out of meds for TWO WEEKS because of this office!
They charged me $ 5.00 for my Adderall prescription every month to come pick it up. I also had to call and remind them to write it every month even though they diagnosed and write the script. So last straw was when I got a prescription and took it to cvs to be filled and the math was wrong so I went right back to get it corrected and the office manager asked me to come back the next day because the doctor was busy. I refused because I was out of meds and was a paying customer too that was just seen 30min prior! Finally I got it after me having to be very assertive. The office manager later called me to explain that she spoke with the doctor and he said that they don’t really service ADD meds they only do that as a favor to patients. I HAD NO iDEA a 6 year favor to me?! ha! i did all the work! why not just say you’re sorry? Twenty years and I didn’t feel valued as a patient for the last 5.
The office used to be very nice, but over the years has felt more like a clinic with their décor and increase amount of patients over the years.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here.

so i really hate going to the doctors, esp when i spend longer waiting for one than talking to one.
ive only been once and im going again soon got me in real quick. i didnt make an appt so i did a walk in and they take those after 5 everyday and they open till 7 so thats great cause most people got off work at 5. she had all my info fast and i saw someone within 10min so im very happy about that.
the PA and nurse was very nice and i hope i get them again.

I have been coming to Mid Cities Family Care for three years now and absolutely love this place. I usually see Physicians Assistant Kristen Brannon who works under Dr. Terry’s board and have always been treated kindly, with respect and they have always been prompt in regards to my appointment time.
I know that if I need a same day appointment urgently, this is the place where they will fit me in. The waiting room has televisions and magazines to keep you entertained but sadly no toys for the kiddos. They also do in house blood work and after so many bad experiences with other nurses having to stick me multiple times, I was elated when the nurse got it right the first time.
When this office tells you to leave a message and they will call you back promptly, they absolutely mean it. The nurse did me a huge favor by extraditing my medicals records to my specialist and kept in constant contact with me.
Very friendly and professional doctors with even better office staff, prompt visits, clean facility and accurate diagnoses!
Oh and this place is confusing as heck to find your first go around. It’s located on the access road of 121 past the Holiday Inn.

I’ve recently started going to Mid Cities Family Care and so far have been impressed with the amount of genuine care that is showed by every single staff member, from the front desk to the nurses & doctors, and the lab workers. When I check in, my wait time is never more than 5 minutes, which isn’t something I’m used to. Additionally, when I am in the exam room, I don’t feel rushed by the medical staff or that they’re too busy to listen to me.
I look forward to making Mid Cities Family Care my primary care clinic for a very long time!

I have spent years trying to find a reliable primary care physician and finally found him here! Dr. Terry was my primary doctor, and has since become my husband’s primary doctor, too. I am always able to get in to see either Dr. Terry or one of his nurse practitioners on the day I call, which is great when I catch a virus.
The best thing about Dr. Terry has been the referrals he has given me when I have needed to see a specialist. When I was hospitalized for a heart condition and assigned a not-​so-​great doctor at the hospital, Dr. Terry gave me a reference to an amazing electrophysiologist who was able to prevent me from having to get a Pacemaker — awesome!
He truly listens to his patients and never makes me feel like a number or walking dollar sign. They also have in-​house x-​rays and blood lab, which is so convenient and leads to really fast diagnoses. I can’t recommend this practice enough — they are great!

5 stars for a doctor’s office? YES!
This office clearly does not overbook. Each time I go, my wait time in the waiting room AND exam room is minimal. So minimal that I’m surprised my name is being called or the doctor is coming in already. Huge plus for me. Staff is always friendly and doesn’t act like they are put out for you being there. You know you have come across staff like that! Clean facility too.

This is my primary care physician… great service, love that I don’t have to wait long, pretty thorough with the exams, and if they have to find something, believe me they will find it! Dr. Terry is my doctor and he is a world class comedian who happened to be smart enough to be a doctor. LOVE him.
Nice front desk staff, they always make you feel important, and I am always satisfied with how fast and efficent everyone is! Have been going here for almost 10 years now… dang I’m old.
